Administrative Activities
Working with Carol Swann as her Administrative Assistanct, I helped to run the 2019-2020 Moving on Center Participatory Somatic Module Certification program. I was responsible for being in communication with all of the students registered, as well as the liaison between the studios, teachers and facilitators. I was able to use my visual creativity in creating the weekly advertising bursts for social media, as well as the quarterly PR flyers for the workshops.
Event Planning
As Community Coordinator for lululemon Athletica in Berlin, Germany, I was able to practice grass roots marketing to foster Brand Awareness. Tapping into the local Yoga, Pilates, CrossFit, Cycling and Dance studios through Berlin, I was able to meet amazing Teachers and Athletes. I coordinated local events such as in store weekly sweat classes, as well as larger site specific events such as RoofTop Yoga Party at the new Shopping Center. Through my down to earth style connecting with athletes, I was able to awaken the Canadian brand to the German market. I went from seeing one Lululemon bag across town, to seeing the Mainfesto every where I went!
Mentoring
In the Summer of 2019, I was privileged to act as the Resident Supervisor for the Alonzo King Lines Ballet Summer intensive. This prestigious program hosts the next generation of ballerinas to come and train at their facilities.
I acted as the liaison between the students, the parents, the studios and the program facilitators, responsible for clear communication and efficient functioning of the programs safety systems for youths staying at an overnight camp. As well, I managed my team of ten dedicated Resident Advisors, including responsibilities of scheduling, assigning roles and key leader positions.
My leadership style included team building and self development exercises, challenging my team to identify their weaknesses, strengths, and to understand how they could challenge themselves during the program to continue growing and developing themselves with skills that could ultimately empower them in their individual life and career goals
